Info on UK courses

Because the US and UK university experiences are so different, it may be of great help to you if you are able to visit a few campuses in the US. We realize that not everyone has the means to do so, but if you can work a visit in somehow, it will be well worth the trip.

Boston is a centre of higher education, and you can easily visit a dozen colleges right in town plus many more close to the city. An excellent train service runs along the major cities on the East Coast of the US, allowing easy access to even more colleges in Providence, New Haven, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.

The Harvard Admissions Office holds hour-long group information sessions and campus tours year round. To see the schedule for the day(s) you have in mind, check the Visit Harvard section of the Admissions Office website in the box at the right. You don't need an appointment - just show up! If you decide to apply, you will have your official admissions interview later back in the UK. During the academic year, it is also possible to visit some classes - the list is available at the Admissions website noted above.
